Cooking Happily since 1990

Duck Soup Catering started in the mid- 80s with four working moms who, apparently wanted more on their plates. The concept was great, each responsible for a specific element of the business: making food, finances, front of the house, and kitchen management. After moving to the Upper Valley in 1988, I was asked to join them on a job as word had spread I had attended culinary school and most importantly knew how to wield a knife. After my audition on that first job I became a regular team member. Later, after three out of the four founders went on to other things, I became full business partners with Nan. The two of us were a great team for many years. We learned a much from the many events we catered, and from each other. Nan, eventually (and happily!) retired a few years ago and I have carried on the Duck Soup legacy on my own ever since. Being on my own has had many opportunities and challenges. I have had the chance to expand, build out a professional kitchen, push the boundaries of my cooking and, crucially master pie crusts (with the help of Sugar Glider Kitchen in Hartford VT). Duck Soup has been voted one of the top three catering companies in the Upper Valley for the last three years in a row. My incredible team knows my expectations and standards and is ready to bring your culinary dreams into a delicious reality!
